"Who, If Not Us, Will be Responsible"

BCDI-Seattle has a long history of advocacy in the Juvenile Justice Arena.  In 1993, BCDI-Seattle was selected by King County to conduct the "Reaching-Back-Giving Back Campaign to promote the principles and values embracede by *accomplished African Americans which guide youth in their development into strong, health, mature and responsible adults.  The resultant report - The African American Strategic Community Family Community Empowerment Campaign Report or the Reaching Back-Giving Back Report.

The resultant report was used to develop a request for proposal to implement an alternative to detention for youth of the African American culture.  That program is now called Project ROYAL.
